宁波抗疫经验“网漂”向英国诺丁汉市

昨天（6月5日）下午，宁波市与英国诺丁汉市疫情防控及经济社会秩序恢复视频交流会在宁波诺丁汉大学举行。宁波抗疫经验通过网络“漂”向万里之外的友好城市，筑起一座抗疫连心桥。

市卫健委、市发改委、市商务局、市教育局等部门负责人详细介绍了宁波在疫情防控及复工复产复学等方面的做法。

在听取来自宁波的抗疫经验后，诺丁汉市发展事务主管克里斯·亨宁（Chris Henning）表示感谢。他说，诺丁汉市和宁波的友好城市关系起源于宁波诺丁汉大学，去年更是被评为发展最好、最活跃的中英两国城市关系之一。

宁波诺丁汉大学不仅是中英高等教育合作的典范，更是两国、两城交流互动、深化关系的桥梁纽带。宁波市政府副秘书长颜伟国说：“15年来我们两地之间不断加强经贸合作和文化交流，宁波诺丁汉大学就是一个非常生动的合作的结晶。宁波市会进一步加强与诺丁汉市之间的友好合作，进一步关心宁波诺丁汉大学的发展。”

此次，面对全人类的共同危机，宁波诺丁汉大学与诺丁汉大学全球化大家庭一起，结成宁波-诺丁汉中英友好城市关系中的牢固一环，协助中英凝聚抗疫合力。

3月，两校共同发起并组织宁波、武汉、诺丁汉三地跨洋远程医疗交流对接会，分享新冠肺炎诊断防治的宝贵经验，同时，助推英国诺丁汉大学和宁波市第一医院建立长期远程诊断机制，共同建立战疫防线。

宁波诺丁汉大学是率先重新开放校园的宁波高校，也一直与英国合作方诺丁汉大学保持着密切的沟通。疫情期间，两校一直通过邮件、视频会议交流探讨疫情防控措施、线上教学方案、返校复课安排等。作为一所国际高校，宁波诺丁汉大学平稳顺利地实现校园重新开放、保质保量地完成线上线下教学和评估考核，为英国诺丁汉复学提供切实可行的经验。

Ningbo shares reopening experience with Nottingham

Friday 5 June: A little over two months into recovery from the COVID-19 lockdown, the city of Ningbo shared its experience in restarting economic and social activities with the city of Nottingham during a virtual conference call.

Government officials and university leaders of the two cities attended the online meeting, held at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), where the campus has seen over three quarters of staff and students return to resume face-to-face education since the end of April.

During the conference call, the city of Ningbo introduced its practices in maintaining zero rate of local coronavirus cases after easing the lockdown restrictions, as well as its experience in restoring business operations, boosting consumers’ confidence, and the phased approach to reopen schools.

After the sharing, Chris Henning, the Corporate Director for Development and Growth of the Nottingham city council, commented that there were useful lessons to take away from Ningbo’s experience, and proposed a working level discussion with Ningbo’s officials at a later date.

Yan Weiguo, Deputy Secretary General of Ningbo Municipal Government said that geographical distance wouldn’t stand in the way for the two cities to cooperate in combatting the virus.

“Coronavirus is a common enemy for the entire world, which calls for regional cooperation and cooperation between countries. Together we can win this battle.” He said, “Ningbo and the city of Nottingham have been sister cities for 15 years. UNNC is the best example of the success of our partnership.”

UNNC was the first foreign university to open in China and is part of the University of Nottingham. Facing the global pandemic, UNNC has acted as a bridge connecting Nottingham UK with Ningbo China. The mutual help between the two cities included deliveries of medical supplies and medics’ experience sharing on COVID-19 treatment.
