学生代表致辞——袁路

尊敬的家长、教职员工，亲爱的朋友、同学们：

大家早上好！我是国际商学院会计系的2020届毕业生袁路，很荣幸能作为毕业生代表在此发言。

2020年是特别的一年，这一年，我们迎来了毕业季，这一年，也是艰难的一年。在此之前，我们都在家自主隔离以抵御新冠疫情。多亏了全国人民的共同坚持和努力，今天我们才能够欢聚一堂，共庆我们人生中的这一重要时刻。我还清楚地记得2016年的9月，我和家人风尘仆仆地从四川赶来，望着这个美丽但却陌生的城市和校园，感到有些激动却又有些胆怯。白驹过隙，四年前的这一幕仿佛还在昨日。

中国有一句古话：“授人以鱼不如授人以渔。”西浦便是后者。它不仅专注于传授知识和技能给我们，还十分重视对我们独立学习能力的锻炼。以前我们习惯了传统式教育，常常觉得自己是知识的被动接受者。但是上了大学之后，我们需要独立或者与同学合作来完成任务，而不是依赖于老师。这可以加强我们的自主学习能力，这个技能是西浦赠予我能够受用一生的财富。

西浦还为我们提供了很多培养和提升协作能力的机会，这对我们未来的职业生涯大有帮助。当与他人合作时，每个同学在小组中都扮演着不可或缺的角色，他们都有自己的职责和任务，都尽可能地发挥出自己的优势和长处。大家互相帮助，共同努力使自己组的结果更加完美。

西浦还锻炼了我们的时间管理能力。在大学中，我们不仅要专注于专业课程，还需要面临更多的挑战，以及更加努力去全面地发展自己。我们必须要更有效地安排和管理我们的时间，并且提升效率和专注度，才有可能出色地完成每一项任务。如何在多任务间自如切换并且很快进入状态，也是一个巨大的挑战。令我敬佩的是，我身边绝大多数人都有了这种能力。

幸得西浦的教育，我们才能不断提高和完善自己，并且不断探索新的可能性；幸得西浦的教育，我们才能足够优秀地在这样一个竞争激烈的社会中生存和发展。

这里的教授和导师乐于助人、专业和负责。在每节课之前，他们都会仔细设计他们的课程，并准备充分的学习材料，来保证学生们能掌握核心知识。为了帮助我们解决问题，完成作业，以及巩固我们所学到的东西，他们尽可能及时地回答我们的问题，并提供充分帮助。他们总是尽可能为学生提供更多的帮助和指导。最珍贵的是他们的态度，永远谦逊有礼，从不让学生感到压力或自卑，所以我们总是在活跃和放松的氛围中学习。

除了专业课程外，老师们还为我们组织了像辩论大赛和建模比赛之类的学术竞赛，以巩固我们的专业知识，提升我们的专业能力。为了让我们的学习生活更加丰富多彩，还有各式各样有趣的社团活动为大学生活添色。为了成功将我们从学校过渡到社会，还准备了面试大赛、创业大赛之类这类丰富我们社会经验的活动。老师们总是不遗余力地为我们的成长保驾护航。

西浦的同学们都聪明，友善，勤奋。大家总是能互相激励，互相帮助，互相追赶。他们从不停下前进的脚步。无论何时你去图书馆，你都会发现，图书馆都坐满了人，大家认真高效地干着自己的事情。无论何时你去学习室，你都会发现，里面总有人在挥洒汗水，激情讨论。无论何时你去教室，你都会发现，大家都勇于站起来交流自己的观点。

友谊是无价的，我很幸运地在这里交到了很多朋友。起初，我对大学生活充满了担忧和焦虑。但是当我见到我可爱的室友们时，她们的活力和热情很快地感染了我，是她们让我对未来生活多了许多憧憬。

我们是大人眼里永远长不大的小孩，但我们也是新时代的新血液。未来的生活将由我们创造，今后的历史注定被我们书写。但是我们绝对不能忘记前浪的付出与奉献，前浪去拓荒，来帮助我们更好地成长，后浪去发展，要踩在前浪的肩膀上迈向更高的目标，为我们的社会做出更大的贡献。我们正值青春，我们一定能抓住机会，奔向最光明的未来。

天下没有不散的宴席。我们需要向西浦告别，步入新的征程了。由于疫情，这次的分别显得更加匆匆和难舍。没有人擅长分别，但最重要的是，我们要擅长展开新生活，只有不停的步入新的阶段才能迎来新的成长。

最后，我想衷心地说一句，谢谢！感谢您！西浦的每一位教职员工，谢谢您们为了让我们成长而做的所有努力和工作，每一次授课，每一次活动策划我们都能感受到您们的用心。感谢你！我的朋友们，谢谢你们的鼓励和帮助，谢谢你与我同行。感谢你！我的家人们，谢谢你们对我们的包容，鼓励和支持。

Graduate representative's address- Lu Yuan, BA Accounting, IBSS

Good morning! Family, friends, faculty, and fellow graduates.

I am LuYuan, a graduate of accounting at International Business School Suzhou. It's such a pleasure to stand here to deliver a graduation speech.

2020 is a special year, not only because we graduate this year, and it's also a tough year. We all stayedat home to fight Covid-19. Thanks to our joint efforts and persistence, we are able to gather today to celebrate one of the most important moments in our life. I remember vividly that in September 2016, I came here with my family, looking at this beautiful but unfamiliar city and campus, feeling timid but excited. It happened four years ago, but it's as if it was only yesterday.

There is a saying in China, give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, or teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. XJTLU is the latter. It not only imparts knowledge and skills to us, but also cultivates our abilities of independent learning. Before joining in this University, I got used to teacher-centred education and being spoon-fed for learning. I regarded myself as a passive receptacle of pre-digested knowledge. But at this University, what we need to do is working both collaboratively and independently to finish the assigned tasks instead of depending heavily on teachers' help.This can sublimate our self-discipline and increase our autonomy.

XJTLU also provides us with many opportunities to cultivate and improve our cooperation ability, which is essential in the workplace. When working with others in groups, students have their own duties and responsibilities, and each is expected to practice their own strengths. They assist each other and work together to make the group work perfect.

XJTLU also makes us master time management. At university, we have to deal with multiple tasks rather than focusing only on our academic achievements. We must manage our time more effectively, and improve our efficiency and concentration, so that we can accomplish every task excellently. In addition, how to switch freely in different tasks and focus on new tasks quickly is also a huge challenge. I am proud that most students around me have acquired this ability.

Thanks to the education offered by XJTLU, I constantly improve and polish myself, and keep exploring new possibilities.

Thanks to the education offered by XJTLU, we are able to equip ourselves with a range of essential skills in order to survive and thrive in this competitive society.

Professors and tutors here are helpful, professional, and responsible. Before each class, they will carefully design their lessons and prepare the learning materials to equip students with essential skills they need. To help us solve problems, finish assignments, and consolidate what we've learnt, they respond to our questions quickly and provide adequate help. They try to be available to provide more help and guidance to students. They are also humble, friendly, and approachable, so we never study under pressure and we can learnin a dynamic and relaxing atmosphere.

Apart from the modules, they also organise many academic competitions for us, such as debate competitions and mathematical contest in modelling, to help us acquire professional knowledge and upgrade abilities. Additionally, a range of extracurriculumactivities have been heldto add colour to our university life. In order to help us make a successful transition from school to society, XJTLU also prepared social activities, like interview competition and entrepreneurship competition, to enrich our social experience. Tutors always spare no effort to help with our growths.

Students at XJTLU are intelligent, caring, and hardworking. They always encourage each other, help each other, and compete with each other. They never stop making progress. Whenever you go to the library, you will find so many people therefocusing on their tasks. Whenever you go to the study room, you will find there are always students discussing passionately. Whenever you go to the classroom, you will find everyone is brave to stand up and share their views.

Friendship is priceless. I am so lucky that I make many friends here. At first, I feltlostand anxious about my future life. But when I met my lovely roommates, their energy immediately inspired me. They also made me be more positive about my university years and future life.

In elders' view, we are always children who never grow up, but we are the new blood of the new era. The future will be created by us, and history is destined to be written by us. However, we shouldn't forget the contribution and dedication of predecessors. They are pioneers and help us grow and develop better. We are expected to stand on their shoulders to achieve higher goals and make greater contributions to our society. Now, we are young and we are expected to seize the opportunity and rush to the brightest future.

Nothing lasts forever. We need to say goodbye to XJTLU and embark on a new journey now. As a result of Covid-19, this farewell appears to be in haste. No one is good at saying goodbye, but the most important thing is, we should be good at starting a new life. We need to move forward to a higher level to get new growth.

Finally, I'd like to take this moment to say thank you. Thank you, every faculty member of XJTLU. Thank you for everything you've done to help us advance, we can feel your patience and efforts. Thank you, my friend. Thank you for your encourages and help, I really learn a lot from you guys. Thank you, my family. Thank you for understanding, tolerance, and support.
