丨Activity review

This competition is held by GTIIT News and Public Affairs, GTIIT YouthLeague Committee and organized by GTIIT Student Ambassador Association with thetheme of"100 Life-style of GTers"and videoentries will be collected from all GTIIT students.

1.Review process

After thepreliminary screening by the organizers, ten works that best meet therequirements of the competition are selected for public voting. Judges will evaluatethe works based on their themes, techniques, creativity, and expressive power.The final result is determined by the combination of professional and publicscores.

· December 8 to December 9: preliminary screening

· December 9 to December 12：the public voting

· December 13：award ceremony and professional lecture

2.Award setting

There will be 1first prize, 3 second prizes, 5 third prizes in this competition. We also prepare certificates for each winner.

First prize: 1000 RMB

Secondprize:800RMB

Third prize: 400 RMB

The honorable mention: a canteen voucher of 60 RMB

丨Exhibition

Work 1：Fingertip Vision

Video Introduction: When mentioned about 100 Lifestyle of GTers, the first thing that comes to my mind is our campus. On the first day I came here, I fell in love with every building here. Different from the feelings given to me by the agstone walkway and the old houses in the ancient town with red bricks and green tiles, the simple blue-grey and straight lines depict geometric patterns against the background of blue sky and white clouds. Minimalist but not simplicity is also the reflection of GTer. Although I do not know architecture, I am still attracted to it. I want to use this opportunity to record its appearance with my brush.This work establishes various planes in infinite space and uses 3D camera movement to turn each plane picture into a small world.It is not photography in the traditional sense, but is using a paintbrush as the camera to record the campus.

Work 2：Tomorrow

Video Introduction: This film tells the story of a student who unexpectedly finds himself stuck in a repetitive day during his studies at school. After a period of confusion,disorientation,and despair, hedetermines to make a change. As the days continue to repeat themselves, he begins to actively integrate himself into the classroom, answering questions and completing assignments carefully. As a result, his quiz grades gradually rise, culminating in a perfect score. On day 101, just as he continues with his repetitive day, a sudden knock on the door from his housemate makes himrealisethat a new day hasarrivedand he is no longer living a repetitive life.

Work 3: 100 Life-style of GTers

Video Introduction:This video leads the viewer to appreciate the campus landscape from the first person perspective. It is shotaccording to the displacement clues, from the campus gate to the education building, the laboratory building (Prof. Yigal laboratory), and then to the canteen and the sunshine lawn. The video gives viewers a more comprehensive perspective of the campus, and its science and engineering elements are mainly presented in scientific research posters in laboratories and the education building. The lakeside canteen and the sunny lawn present a sense of comfort, and the cafe is a delicious treasure hidden in the campus. Throughout the video, the campus has both beautiful scenery and advanced scientific research environment. The campus itself is the representative of GTer's Unique lifestyle.It is indeed a domestic research university of science and engineering.

Work 6: The first perspective to measure the drinking water quality of restaurants around GTIIT

Video Introduction:This video is a first-hand account of our students using biological experiments to measure the quality of drinking water in restaurants around the school, using their scientific expertise to defend the legal rights of consumers.

Participating in the singing competition and holding the freshman music party! All the good memories are unforgettable.

Video Introduction:This video starts by recording the experiment with the backdrop of campus life in GTIIT. It alsorecords the food and amusements in Shantou.
