Speech Competition | 讲好广以故事

2021年11月26日，一场由广以党总支和教育发展基金会联合举办的“我和广以的故事”主题英文演讲比赛在广东以色列理工学院科报厅举行。比赛吸引了在校师生的积极报名。历经层层筛选，共有九名选手挺进决赛。他们分别来自教师、行政以及学生队伍。

广以党总支书记、副校长林丹明在赛前致辞，向本次比赛的评委、参赛选手以及观众致以衷心的感谢，并鼓励广以学子“实干圆梦”，祝福大家都能实现自己的理想，拥有美好未来。

比赛中，选手们以生动的语言，围绕比赛主题各展风采。结合自身经历和所见所闻，从校园生活中的点滴细节入手，讲述属于自己的广以故事。在言语中，流露着对初心的坚持和对广以的热爱，充分展示了广以师生们奉献青春力量的信心和决心。比赛现场选手妙语连珠、金句迭出，赢得了观众的阵阵掌声。

广东以色列理工学院生涯发展中心陈芬博士、汕头大学党政办主任曾锐老师、汕头大学文学院文兵教授、广以英语老师Constance Van Horne、广以英语老师Ricardo Ribeiro作为本次比赛的评委，对比赛进行了点评并予以选手专业的指导意见。

经过激烈的角逐，本次比赛共评出一等奖1名、二等奖2名、三等奖3名、优秀奖3名以及最佳台风奖1名。

他们分别是：

一等奖：武昭瀚

二等奖：杨宗翰、曾宪乐

三等奖：陈 成、周传音、徐 可

优秀奖：Sami Ullah DAR博士、王黛然、范荣予

最佳台风奖：曾宪乐

我和广以的故事

本次比赛充分展示广以师生勤奋努力、开拓进取、追求创新的精神风貌。相信在未来的日子里，广以师生们定能时常叩问初心、坚定理想信念，努力奋斗，不负韶华。

On November 26th, 2021, a speech competition on the theme of "My Story with GTIIT" was held at the Auditorium of GTIIT. This competition was held by the General Party Branch of GTIIT and GTIIT Education Foundation. A total of 9 contestants, including faculty, staff and students from various programs, entered the final.

Before the final competition, Prof. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT expressed his gratitude to the judges, the contestants and the audience. He encouraged the students with GTIIT’s motto "Dream it! Do it" and wished all students will have a bright future.

The contestants usedvivid language to show their style on the theme of the competition. They toldtheir own GTIIT stories studded with their experiences and details of campuslife, showing their love for GTIIT, which demonstrates the confidence anddetermination of GTIIT members to contribute their youth. The contestantspresented forceful speeches, winning applause from the audience.

Dr. Chen Fen fromGTIIT Career Development Center; Mr. Eric Zeng, Director of the President's Office of STU; Associate Professor Wen Bing, College of Liberal Artsof STU; Dr. Constance Van Horne, English Course Lecturer of GTIIT; Mr. RicardoRibeiro,English Course Lecturer of GTIIT, as the judges of the competition, commentedon the competition and gave professional guidance to the contestants.

The competition awarded one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, three excellence awards and one award of best stage performance.

First Prize: Wu Zhaohan

Second Prize: Yang Zonghan, Zeng Xianle

Third Prize: Chen Cheng, Zhou Chuanyin, Xu Ke

Excellence Award: Dr. Sami Ullah DAR, Wang Daisy, Fan Rongyu

Award of Best Stage Performance: Zeng Xianle
