9月4日上午，香港中文大学（深圳）2021年度入学典礼以线上线下相结合的方式顺利举行。

高中毕业于安徽省合肥一中，来自金融工程专业、祥波书院的冯梦婷作为新生代表在典礼上发言。

尊敬的各位来宾，亲爱的老师和同学们，大家上午好。

我是来自祥波书院的大一新生冯梦婷，今年6月刚从安徽省合肥一中毕业。很高兴能够加入港中大（深圳）这个温暖的大家庭，也很荣幸能够站在这里代表新生发表演讲。

在刚刚结束的高中生活里，充斥着没完没了的试卷，睡眠不足，以及来自四面八方的压力......每每感到疲惫或失去继续前进的动力时，我都会停下来，思考一下我的大学生活应该是怎样的。在我看来，大学应是人生中的黄金时期，因为我将第一次离开亲爱的父母，开始承担作为一名成年人的责任。此外，大学还应扮演一个更加重要的角色。它是一座桥梁，让我接近知识和真理，让我在各方面开阔视野，促使我从一个被庇护的高中生，转变为港中大（深圳）集体的积极分子，进而蜕变为一个对社会有所贡献的人。

高考结束后，我意识到港中大（深圳）是我最好的选择，因为它位于粤港澳大湾区中的深圳，一个以先进技术、开放氛围和无限潜力著称的创新都市。它完全满足我对大学的期望。也正因如此，我走出舒适区，来到了这所离故土1200公里有余的校园，开启了一段探索自我潜能、追求更好的自我的全新旅程。

上完两周的EPC英语课程后，我发现这所大学甚至超出了我的预期。生动的课堂、诺大的图书馆、人性化的高科技设施和干净的游泳池，全都直击我心。最重要的是，我在这里遇到了许多优秀的人，包括来自全国各地各有千秋的优秀学子，从不吝啬施以援手的善良的学长学姐们，以及知识渊博、幽默热情的教授们。不知不觉中，我与他们形成了深厚的联系，让我对这个新的大家庭有了强烈的归属感。

分享完几点感触后，我想借此机会，向所有一直以来给予我无条件的爱、支持与勇气的人表达我最诚挚的感谢。没有你们，便没有今天的我。我想特别感谢我的家人们。

亲爱的爷爷、奶奶、外公、外婆，感谢你们，是你们对教育的重视让我的爸爸、妈妈有机会走出农村，来到城市。感谢我最亲爱的爸爸、妈妈，是你们的精心抚育让我来到充满无限可能的粤港澳大湾区、来到深圳，我将带着你们的爱与期望走向更广阔的世界，待我学有所成，再归来回报家乡！

站在人生的十字路口，万千感慨涌上心头，也许其中夹杂着几分紧张，但更多的是对未来的兴奋和期待。亲爱的同学们，让我们优雅地告别过去，拥抱生活为我们准备的新篇章，无论迎接我们的是阳光还是风雨。让我们抓住每一寸光阴，不仅要追求学业上的成功，还要追求个人的全面发展，与老师和朋友们共同探求幸福的真谛。我希望我们都能充分享受大学生活，以源源不断的热情和奉献精神迎接更美好的未来。

同学们，让我们不负韶华，在香港中文大学（深圳）扬帆远航，成为具有家国情怀、中华善心、社会担当的新时代青年！谢谢大家！

Distinguished guests, dear teachers and fellow students, good morning!

I’m Feng Mengting from Harmonia college. This June, I graduated from Hefei No.1 Middle School in Anhui Province. I am much honored to join the warm family of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and stand here, delivering this speech on behalf of all freshmen.

During my past three years filled with endless test papers, lack of sleep and all kinds of stress, whenever I felt exhausted and lost the motivation to move on, I would pause to think about how my future university life should be. For me, university life should be the golden age of my life, during which I leave my beloved parents for the first time and begin to shoulder my own responsibilities as an adult; university life should also play the essential role as a bridge that brings me closer to knowledge and truth, allows me to broaden my horizon in various aspects and facilitates my transition from a sheltered student to an active member of the CUHK-Shenzhen community, then to a mature member of the society.

CUHK-Shenzhen is definitely my ideal choice as it is located in Shenzhen in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, an innovative city known for its advanced technology, opening atmosphere and unlimited potential. It perfectly meets my expectations of the university. Now I'm here, 1200 kilometers away from my hometown, stepped out of my comfort zone, and setting off on the voyage of exploring my potential and pursuing a better self.

After enjoying two weeks of the English Pre-sessional Class, I realized that CUHK-Shenzhen even exceeds my expectations. I love the lively lessons, the magnificent library, the user-friendly high-tech facilities and that clean heated swimming pool. Most importantly, I have met many excellent people, including classmates from all over the country with various characteristics, kind-hearted seniors who have never hesitated to offer me help, and knowledgeable, humorous and enthusiastic professors. The connection between me and those people has given me a strong sense of belonging to this new big family.

In addition to sharing my feelings with you, I would like to convey my sincere gratitude to all the people who have given me unconditional love, support and courage all along. Without you, I couldn’t have become into who I am now. I would like to especially thank my family in Chinese.

My dear grandparents, thank you for the importance you place on education, which has enabled my parents to pursue a different life in cities, out of the countryside. My dear parents, thank you for your devoted nurturing, which has allowed me to explore the endless possibilities in Shenzhen, as well as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.

Standing at the intersection of life, thousands of emotions welled up in my heart, mixed with a bit of nervousness, but more excitement and anticipation for the future. Dear fellow students, let us bid farewell to the past gracefully and embrace the new chapter that live prepares for us, whether it would be sunshine or storm. Let us seize every inch of time to pursue not only academic success but also an all-round personal development and true happiness with teachers and friends. I wish we all can live our university life to the fullest and welcome a brighter future with indelible enthusiasm and devotion.

My fellow students, let’s seize the day and live it to the fullest, and embark on a new journey at CUHK-Shenzhen with patriotism, benevolence and social commitment. Thank you all!
