在there be句型中，如果be后有两个或两个以上的名词作主语，be动词应采取“就近一致”原则，即be与临近的主语在数上保持一致。
1、there be句型中be的形式可以根据具体的情况有不同的变化形式。
◇There is going to be a speech contest next Monday.
下周一将举行一场演讲比赛。
◇There was a wonderful concert last month.
上个月有一场很棒的音乐会。
2、there be句型中的谓语动词除be之外，还可以用 live,lie,exist,stand,remain等表示“存在”意义的不及物动词。
◇Long long ago,there lived a king.
很久很久以前，有个国王住在那里。
◇There used to be lots of buildings here.
这里过去有很多建筑物。
三、there be句型的非谓语形式there be句型的非谓语形式有两个：there to be和there being。介词for之后常跟there to be，在其他介词后常跟there being。
◇He was not satisfied with there being so little time。
他对时间少感到不满意。
◇Would you like there to be a meeting to discuss the question?
