go on to do和doing的区别

goondoingsth表示动作做短暂停顿后，继续做同一件事；goontodosth.意为“接着再做另一件事”，指前后所做的事不同。

1、功能不同

go on doing：分词作宾语

例：When you back to China you can go on to do your Residence permit.

当你再次回到中国，你可以继承你的居留许可办理的流程。

go on to do：不定式作目的状语

例：I've survived till now, and will go on doing so without help from you.

2、含义不同

go on to do sth。意为“做完一件事，接着做另外一件事”，两件事之间有可能有某种联系。
