One evening, when I was doing my homework,Rose, the girl lives downstairs knocked at the door

loudly. I opened it but found her very worried. “What is the matter?” I asked. “Tom, please help myself? Grandpa fell over and broke his leg,” she said with tear in her eyes. Then I ran downstairs into her house. Her grandpa was laying on the floor . I had to carry him on my back quick to the taxi outside. The driver rushed us to ∧nearest hospital. Immediately the doctor had his leg operate. Later, Rose’s parents returned t\o home. They thanked me for what I have done.

I still remember how I broke Father’s favorite vase in my childhood.

One afternoon I was playing hide-and-seek with my neighbors in my house. There was a large table in the corner, on which stood a very beautiful vase handed down from my grandpa. Father cherished it very much. When I tried to hide myself under the table, I broke it by accident. I was too frightened to admit it, lying it was the cat that was to blame.

Afterwards, the lie was bothering me though Father didn’t discover it. How regretful I was for what I had done.Finally I gathered my courage to tell the truth. Now I feel relieved, just as an English proverb goes: “Honesty is the best policy”. (120w)
