the的用法顺口溜：特指重现用定冠，独一无二把冠添。 打球不用戴帽子，演奏乐器衣冠严。 江山河海和峡湾，戴上帽子较安全。 不戴帽子就吃饭，形容词加the名词变。 习惯说法冠不冠？入乡随俗记心间。

一、用在特定的人或物的名词前，表示特指。

Who is the girl over there？那边的女孩是谁？这里就是特指的那个女孩。

二、用来指上文中已提到过或谈话双方都知道的人或事物。

There is a chair in the room. An old man is sitting onthechair.房间里有一把椅子，椅子上坐着一位老人。

这个后半句中的the就是代指前文中已经提到的这把椅子。

Give me the schoolbag,please.就是代指的双方都知道的这个东西：书包。

三、用于表示世界上独一无二的事物名词前以及普通名词构成的专有名词前。
