somewhere的用法

somewhere用作副词，有在某处; 到某处的含义。有时用法类似于名词，如可用作动词的宾语，有时甚至可以后接定语从句。有时还可受形容词的修饰(后置)。

一、基本用法

1. 用作副词，表示“在某处”。如：

I've seen him somewhere before.

我以前在什么地方见到过他。

I've seen your glasses somewhere downstairs.

我在楼下什么地方见过你的眼镜。

The church must be somewhere around.

那教堂一定在附近。

2. 用作副词，表示“大约”“大概”。如：

He was a thinnish fellow, somewhere in his forties.

他瘦瘦的，大约四十多岁。

3. 用于短语be getting somewhere，意思是“正在取得进展”。如：

After six months' work on the project, at last I feel I'm getting somewhere.
