the other 和another的区别

another意思是又一；再一；另一(事物或人)；另一；不同的(人或事物)；类似的(人或事物)，强调指不定数目中的“另一个”。the other的意思是他者；另一个；其他，强调指两个人或两样事物中的“另一个”。

the other和another的用法不同

1.another：another用作形容词的基本意思是“(又)另一个的”，主要指同类中又多一(个)的或与前述不同的另一个的，在句中只用作定语。another后常接单数可数名词，但当复数名词前有基数词或few时，也可用another修饰。

2.the other：指特定的某人或某物之外的“另一个”“剩下的”。用在the或形容词性物主代词之后时，与单数名词连用表示“(两个中的)另一个”， 与复数名词连用表示某一集体中“其余的，剩下的(人或物)”。
